17:9. ಇಸ್ರೇಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ರಹಸ್ಯವಾದ ಕೆಟ್ಟಕಾರ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಇಸ್ರೇಲರು ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಊರಿನಿಂದಿಡಿದು ದೊಡ್ಡ ನಗರದವರೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಉನ್ನತಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು.

17:9. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಅಯುಕ್ತ ವಾದವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿ ಬರುವ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳು ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಕೋಟೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳ ವರೆಗೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಮಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿ ಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರು.

17:9. The Israelites said things about the LORD their God that were not right. They built high places in all their cities, from the watchtower to the fortress.
